Looks really nice, I questioned the seller about the VIN discrepancy, haven't heard back yet.

Joe,
I think the number they list as the frame is actually the frame part number. Mine had the same number on it.

NOT intending to turn this into another Moe thread, but.   I was recently on a serious hunt for a nice loopframe to replace my Eldo I sold last fall.  Can't tell you how many times I heard "If Moe's bikes sell for "$40K, mine's a real bargain " and  "Moe touched this bike once..."   Looks like prices for these bikes are finally climbing.  Bet the reserve is $18-20K for this Sport.

The buyer flaked out for item 171829196514 - Moe acknowledged that on the Loop Frame Yahoo group, remember Cam?  Looking at eBay it's not apparent that this particular "deal" from a zero feedback buyer fell apart, so now we're stuck with what looks like a valid comparable sale skewing the market.

Another nice one: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/mcy/5139420772.html

That is a real nice original Sport, a deal compared to the black one.

The black one was my bike that I had for about eight or nine years. I sold it to "Wheelsfetish" about a year ago.  It's as nice as he describes it.

Sometimes I wish you guys wouldn't post such pictures.  I am trying to pare down my herd and I don't need another tremendous temptation!
