All,

TEXAS Gulf Coast summers are hot and humid.  What can occur, with a mix of grime, dead bug guts, and human bacteria can be an awful septic stew on riding gear.  Yesterday I washed my mesh jacket and my kevlar jeans, and aired out the Shoei with a dryer sheet.  I am sure my wife is thankful, and those that sit near me in church.

For helmets, I wash the liner with antimicrobial soap, let it stay on for several minutes, then rinse and dry.  I think a dryer sheet would mainly make perfumy microbes, not dead ones.

I went to the church of Moto Guzzi this morning to be w/all the things you just washed off.
When the wife starts her crap I go to the bikes, THEN I can see who I am.

Get a new liner. The new ones have anti-microbial properties already, regular cleaning regime. Tip: have a few extra liners, change out as needed and wash the pulled one. Handy on longer rides.

Doesn't help the rider who go for a 2k mile ride and wear the same underwear the entire trip.
