Met Piaggio Rep Today
« on: July 23, 2015, 04:45:41 PM »
I met the local Piaggio rep today while at Vespa Portland. We talked about Moto Guzzis and Vespas. He was friendly, talkative, and upbeat about both Moto Guzzis and Vespas. (He was off to see Moto Guzzi Portland after visiting Vespa Portland.)

A few things I learned:
  • Glossy RED V7 Stone IIs are now available for order! No more complaining about matte black and matte gray. Customers have spoken, and Piaggio has heard their cry.
  • AF1 Racing has a huge inventory of bits for our bikes. They are, in a way, Piaggio's fall-back distributor in the US.
  • Agosotini works closely with Moto Guzzi and are the go-to company for after-market Moto Guzzi exhaust systems. For 18,000 miles, a Norge was his main bike. Because it was a demonstrator, he could not fiddle with it and install an after-market can. Now that he is buying a Griso personally, he is going to install an Agostini can and probably remove the DB killer. (He used to be a tech in Costa Mesa.)

It was nice to chat and talk bikes (and scooters!) while Vespa Portland fiddled with my new Vespa 300 Super.

Very cool.  I think Piaggio is a quality company, and great parent for Moto Guzzi.

Awaiting the curtain rise on the mid-size new bikes...give me a 900.

Nice to hear you got meet a rep, not sure which one though. I live local to the Costa Mesa HQ and know a few of these guys like Josh and Alex. They really are enthusiast first, very knowlegable and great to hangout with.

^ I believe it was Josh Kane (or Caine). He's moved up to Oregon from Costa Mesa.
