National Guzzi Rally at Malibu CA, 2008

The thread about the Thousand Oaks Moto Guzzi Dealer in California who would not change oil for people attending the National Rally we were having there jogged my memory.  Attached is a link to some pictures with captions from that rally:

The rally was that long ago....2008....I was able to hit 3 rallies within those two weekends!!  Drove from Ma to the CO rally, down to the National then had dinner at the Virginia rally the following saturday. If I was smart enough I would have made an appointment for an oil change before hand but I didn't... I ended doing an oil change at some little gas station in TX on the way back to the east coast. Lots of memories from that trip, rattle snakes,  tumble weeds, wind, sleet and 123 deg heat.  Destinations are fun but the journey is the experience!

Thanks for that, David.  Sure brings back a lot of good memories. It's amazing how small the Guzzi community is. I know someone in almost every picture.. not to mention seeing that picture of the Mighty Scura.  Dorcia and I were there on Darth Quota then, had no idea that I'd end up with the RC Scura.

Yep.
That was in my back yard, and I couldn't make it.
I took my daughter to Va. so she could start school there, but we bumped into the Va. rally....

Four years later, I make the National rally in Va., and my daughter had just graduated and not there.....

There is some poetry or irony or something at work there.....
