While replacing the leaky fuel tank gasket on my 2006 Breva 750, I noticed some prior owner had put gray epoxy around the base of the red fuel barb to which the fuel line attaches. I can only guess that during a ham-fisted attempt to uncouple the fuel line, the barb cracked, hence the epoxy fix.
Harpers told me today one cannot buy a new red barb seperately, but instead must purchase the entire fuel pump assembly. Harpers suggested just continuing to use the jury rigged barb and install a quick release in the line. The quick release makes sense simply to avoid the needlessly difficult fuel line disconnect procedure. But is there a source for a new red barb?
