Portland MG ripped off
« on: August 24, 2015, 12:56:33 PM »
:copcar: Last night thieves broke into Moto Guzzi Portlands storage yard and stold 3 new V7s. A grey 2016 V7II Stone, black 2016 V7II Stone, grey 2015 V7 Special and the owners Custom red Triumph chopper. The Cali's must have been too heavy and were left behind. All the V7's were in shipping boxes.
I will post vin's when the are available.  :copcar:
Any info is appreciated.

Fornicating thieves.  Every thief needs his hands cut off, his feet cutoff, and anything that sticks out between the feet and armpits.
If you wish to know what a man is, place in him authority.
False accusations reflect more on the accuser than the accused.
They can take everything from you, including your life, except your honor and integrity.  That you must give away.
Do or don't do. There is no try.

This is discomforting and totally dispels my belief the chief antitheft device is printed on the sides of the gas tank.

China?

You know...........year s ago a MD Dr. back east parked his then new Piaggio MP3 outside in a parking lot where he lived and 1 night it was stolen and never recovered.  A couple years later a Chinese knockoff was confiscated @ a  European MC show.  Portland has access to the Pacific ocean via the Columbia River.    I'd check cargo ships moored @ Portland or thereabouts.  Contact the U.S. Coast Guard.

That really sucks!!  I've known Rick for many, many years (in fact, gave him his first job in the M/C business) and I hate to see that happen to anyone.  Let's all keep our eyes peeled.

Wow, Me and my wife were just up there last month visiting some friends in Vancouver, we purchased some Tee shirts from them. I wondered if they brought in the crates of motorcycles every night or just secured the lot out back? Bummer, this is a nice dealership and I hope they have insurance to survive as a good Moto Guzzi dealer is hard to come by these days.

A little thread drift--I expect many of you have heard about the theft of a body from a casket in TX.

What is this world coming to?

Well, the difference is that you can always ride.... oh, um  - I better stop now.

Sorry to hear.

Around here it only takes a few hours for the thieves to get the stuff to Mexico.  Dealers pay a lot in insurance costs in this area.

Stolen in shipping crates?

They're already in a sea-land container heading to Asia or possibly Eastern Europe.

Say Bye-bye!

I don't know if they have insurance that covers this sort of loss. Hopefully they do. If they don't, this could be catastrophic...

REALLY mad to hear this. Rick and his crew have been an absolute Boon to Guzzi and the Northwest area. A great shop and enthusiasm abounds...this kind of setback is heart wrenching. Steve F. have you heard any positive news regarding recovery or even better these creeps got caught?
