Yellow (!) Griso Sighting

Yes, yellow.

An unexpected sight.

On U.S. 522 southbound, about four miles north of Winchester, Virginia, at 4:20 EDST or so p.m. today (Mon, 31 Aug).

The guy was traveling LD, as he had bags of some sort and gear on the pillion post.

This wasn't a "mightabeen" or "couldabeen," but a Griso.  Unmistakable sound, too.

Did have some sort of smallish "shark's jaw" or flame decal on tank.  Didn't get a good look at tank as I was focusing on engine to be sure and I was across the median.

Would have given chase but I was in my beloved POS 93 Toy pickup -- which can barely keep up with its front bumper -- and I was hauling a 1L water tank.  Empty, as full would have had my tailgate on the pavement!

Wonder who that was.

Mark Tenney's is yellow, but I don't remember it having any decal on the tank.

Ah.  Thanks.  Interesting.

Did not know that Mark had a giallo Griso.  Thought only Texan Sam Baker had one before it (not Sam! ) departed this life in 2011.  RIP.

The "decals" may just have been too-quick call of what might just have been his riding pants!  Doh.

IIRC Mark's Griso also has some big red horns and/or handguards that might be mistaken for flame decals at speed?
