I don't get it, why would you want to make that bike look like one of the thousands of old Japanese bikes that have been made into half ass looking café racers.

You don't see how that GIANT ass bike would look as a cafe. It would be like Andrea the Giant at a Little people convention.
Yes it would be mainly useless but damn impressive. King Kong of cafe.

Useless? The whole cafe thing is useless, except as a styling exercise. The original point to make a bike weigh less so it has a hope of hitting a 100mph has long long since gone by the way.
I think it looks cool, who cares how big it is?
