Like each other Dusty? Hmm, well yes, Kiwis form I believe the largest sub culture in Oz, but there have been a few bones of contention of late.

When it comes to sport though they are a country we love to beat.

Personally I would have preferred that we faced the Argies in the final, mainly because I think we would have a better chance of beating them than the Ozzies.

The Argies have had a pretty good campaign and should feel pleased with themselves having made the semi finals.

True indeed! That would count as a global disaster of biblical proportions!

Looking forward to the Final but do we really need the runner up game between Arg and SA? I cant believe the players or fans are really in to it

Well it does determine who comes 3rd and 4th. I suspect also it has something to do with providing something for the hordes of fans over there, not all of whom will be fans of the ABs or the Ozzies, and not all of whom will be able to go to the final.
It may also be something to do with making a bit of dosh.

I'm looking forward to the final too, though I would hate to call it.

It's amazing who is into it now. Chuck Norris has "called it" and he is on our side  :undecided:
I'm not too sure what to think about that. Has he put the mockers on us? I don't know.
I'm going to take a few deep breaths

To put the mockers on = To jinx someone

He just isn't the kind of bloke that you would expect to know anything about rugby, is he? and seeing the publicity he got strikes me as bizarre.

Come to think of it (which I probably wasn't doing very deeply in the first place) I think I'm being paranoid in paying any attention to him at all. Thanks for making me think Dusty; you rescued me from my delusion :thumb:

So it is the Okie , dang , how in the heck did he end up having any influence on Rugby  Don't give him to much thought , just another boy from Oklahoma . Actually , he is a nice enough guy , kind of Clint Eastwood with no acting talent

NZ 4/9 vs Aus 9/4 at the bookies. I thought it would be closer.

We have a bit of a hoodoo against the AB's, mainly when playing in UnZed (NZ), so in England we have much better odds.
One way or another it will be a brillant game.
Rumour has it Christchurch will slide off into the ocean if the AB's loose.........

That would be a bit sad. Wouldn't matter so much if it was Auckland.

Not too annoyed to be beaten by the worlds best team playing a perfect game. For NZ, they win the RWC for the 3rd time and a few of them join an exclusive club of people (all Aussies until now) who have one it twice.

My team the Wallabies were beaten by a better team on the day, and for the Wallabies the future begins NOW. 1 Year is no time at all to go from 8th in the world to 2nd. Now lets move on and do better.

I can't believe that the final was on network TV!  I think that is a first for the states. Great game.  For the most part, closer than the score indicated.  Still, having played in the olden days, I am amazed how the game has / rules have changed.  Even GPS/heart rate monitors in the uniforms.   Now when WE played.....

Excellent game...hardly any mistakes from either side by the looks of it.  These guys are TOUGH!  So much fun to watch...I'm beginning to enjoy Rugby even more than US Football...The kicks were impeccable, and that last punt downfield for the final try was brilliant.

Congrats to the All Blacks...3rd time champions!

Well  a few too many people fell over dead on the field I suppose.

For my part, I've yet to see the game, but, Well done the ABs, 2nd in a row. (Has that been done before?)

Glad to hear it was on the networks in the US.

What a stunning match. The Aussies were really good and took good advantage when the ABs were a man down but they were playing such an awe inspiring team that there is no shame in getting beaten by them.
May all beings be happy

The All Blacks have always been heartbreakers, the way they turn defence into attack by capitalising on the slightest mistake. We were beaten by a much better side and were only as good as the ABs let us play. When we did get the ball, we were danderous but our overall game was not up to the standard. Ah well, thems the breaks.

Must admit to being a bit nervous between the 60 and 70 minute mark, being a man down and the Ozzies on a roll.  Then those "where the hang did that come from" moments that make the scoreline look a lot wider than it should have been.

A close and hard fought game.

Great game. Carter was outstanding. Just saw Sonny Bill give his medal to a kid who ran out on to the field during the celebrations. What a great gesture.
Australia were terrific also they never gave up. I thought they were going to take the lead during the sinbinning.
What more can you say its been an amazing tournament
