V7-II updated parts manual?
« on: October 05, 2015, 09:00:41 AM »
The most recent version of the V7-II Stone parts manual (Part GU123) that I have, dated 16/04/2015, doesn't show the updated crank case ventilation and fuel evaporation systems.  Does anyone have or know of a more recent version?  Thanks, Sam

I have the same one, it doesn't seem to show the ABS system either...

I am not sure if this is what your looking for. I see the canister (carbon filter) on page 42. The ABS parts are on P39,40.

I see a breather on p 56.

I am using the parts list:
V7 II Stone ABS 750 USA-CND 2016,  GU123, Chassis prefix: ZGULWUB0
from AF1

In my OP, I didn't say anything about the ABS system, I know it's on diagram 33.26.  There's also a good operational description in the new workshop manual.

I'm using diagram numbers instead of page numbers because the page numbers are different in different versions of the manual.

The evap system shown in diagram 33.48 is the older one.  The parts for the new canister mounting system (under the fuel tank) are not shown, nor is the hose that vents the canister to a place under the bike.  Also, I believe that in the new system, the entry port for the evap gases into the air intake system is at the top, rather than the bottom, of the large rubber Y-hose that connects the ECU to the injector inlets.

Diagram 33.22 for the air box/oil recovery system does show the nipples that are used to close off the old blow-by hose entry holes, but nothing is shown about where and how the blow-by hoses coming from the valve covers join and connect to the oil recovery inlet, nor how the recovered oil is brought back to the crankcase.

In all of the above cases, part numbers are missing, so it would be difficult to order replacements.

I'm refreshing this thread because it's been 6 months since my OP and I'm hoping that someone, perhaps a dealer or mechanic with access to MG support, might by now have a V7II Stone parts manual (part GU123) more recent than the latest one I have, dated 16/04/2015, which is exactly one year old and lacks several parts, as I indicated earlier.  Thanks.

Many thanks, Paul.  Unfortunately, the brand new parts manual still doesn't include the parts that were left out of the previous one, and I now suspect they'll never be included.  Well, at least the bikes themselves usually have all the parts they're supposed to have.  Thanks again.
