I just picked up a 2013 Trophy with just over 5K miles and still in warranty. Got it for $10,600 and that included the factory trunk, ($760.00) which is huge and factory tank bag, ($150.00). The seller also threw in a new $600.00 Shoei Neotec helmet, it doesn't fit my big head but fits my girlfriend's head just fine. The bike has never been down and looks like it just it just came off the showroom. The bikes that came to the USA were the upscale SE models with electronics suspension, built in XM stereos and blue-tooth. This thing is fast, not Yamaha R1 fast but when compared to the 2 valve Norge I once owned and the BMW R1150RT I still own, the Trophy will beat them senseless. The Trophy has the best fairing of any bike I've owned and the still air behind the fairing at 70 mph is a little weird.

It took me a couple of days to get use to all the electronic stuff and how to adjust everything using the controls on the left side of the handlebar. But now that I have it down it's really easy to adjust the suspension, headlight and trip computer on the fly.

So far I'm really impressed and but for a leaking fork seal that I need to replace, the bike is perfect. I had never seen a Trophy in person before I went to look at the one I bought. I guess Triumph hasn't sold many here in the US, but that's OK. One of the reasons I bought my Guzzis is because not everyone had one, the same applies to the Trophy.

Now I could get the fork seal replaced under warranty but I just assume do it myself. Anyone have experience replacing fork seals in WP forks that have electronic damping adjustment??

Perhaps the seal just has a bit of dirt under it, and can be sorted using some thin camera film or one of the "fork seal cleaning" kits on the market?

I was looking at a Trophy the other day; a lovely bike but could be a bear to work on ..... !

The valves have 20K service intervals and oil changes are done at 10K intervals. I tried to clean the fork seal using a .003 feeler gauge but it didn't fix the problem.

Those are world-class maintenance intervals! I was thinking more of what it would take to disassemble the front forks .... !!

Getting the fork out isn't going to be a problem. They come out just like most forks, remove the front wheel and loosen the pinch bolts holding them to the to the triple tree. They should then just slight out.

Trophys are wonderful bikes. They are easily as good or better than anything out there. With service intervals that make riding a jump on and go instead of a mid trip grind, it can be a once a year thing if you ride it every day and twice on weekends.

The sound of the triple is amazing too. When it winds up everyone asks, what is that?

I have WP suspension (electronically adjustable) on my KTM, wonder if they use the same stuff? I have not been into mine yet.

Lovely color...looked at one just like that 2 years ago here in town, but I still love the Norge and it was hard to justify having 2 Sport Tourers, one was just going to sit more than the other! Just a few weeks ago there was a thread on here about the Trophy as well...seems to be a rare bird indeed. The engine I recall was exquisitely smooth...I wonder if after enjoying the V-twin feel of the Guzzi, would you eventually find the Triple a bit too tame? More pics!

If that don't work and it is under warranty the dealer is the best bet.

It has been my experience that the dealer guys break 2 things for every 1 they fix. I'm sure most of you have had better experiences than me but I would just rather fix the fork myself.

Unfortunately my new 2013 SE had 9 separate items within 3 months.
2 of the items were both fork seals leaking within 500kms of each other, were not covered under warranty in Australia.

There is a good TTSE forum with a good knowledge base

One of the guys on the Honda NT forum has had one for a couple years now. No troubles and he loves it.

With the price dropping I'd be tempted to get one.

New asking prices are $19,500 so a buy at 10K is a pretty good deal.

Triumph makes a quality bike. Three weeks ago I left home on my 04 955 Tiger with 107,500 miles. Rode 3800 more miles without a problem. Still, after a day or two to let my ass recover, it sure felt good to ride the 01 EV

I was in a big BMW Triumph Ducati chop today, no Trophy on the floor. The last one they had for 14 months.
