So, Cam Lay, still in a bit of a recovery mode from his collision in Montana with mountain mutton-on-the-hoof back in July -- see
http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=77881.0 -- came back east for some work, play, and family obligations.
We were close enough to one of those activities to be honored with a visit. Here are a few pics of Cam's two days at Cross Junction. If I am lucky, this post will drop off the first few pages before Cam ever sees it.

Virginia, Montana, and South Carolina flags herald Cam's arrival.

With an after-dark ETA, I light the lamps to ensure Cam sees gate.

But, without meeting local LEO's, Cam shows up well before dark. I think he IS smiling.

And shows us how spry he is by giving us a tour of our place with a biologist's eye.

Amazing how much we had never "seen."

Kathi takes notes -- while eating her glove!

The persimmons are (almost) ripe.

But now it is time to eat, drink, & be merry.

Nothing but the finest (NASCAR) cuvee for a Montana guest.

Actually, that "3" wasn't the swill we feared, but real red stuff called for real red wet stuff.

Followed by a pyromania demo!

Cam complained about being cold, so Kathi went to work.

She wears the Navy pants to annoy me; it works!

Hard to believe Cam lives in Montana, as he added this to his bedroom!

And -- seriously -- this.

But, he finally got warm.

The next day, he helped with a rain-barrel project.

Then, with some warnings from distaff management.

We set off to town and the Union Jack Tavern. For some reason, no pix after this.

Cam left the next day for South Carolina. And, all kidding aside, he is still "thinking" about returning to the two-wheeled world. After hearing even more details about his "life flight" event, it gives me pause about it all, too.
OTOH, no bighorn sheep in Virginia.

Thanks for staying with us, Cam.
