Stelvio starter switch
« on: November 12, 2015, 01:03:06 PM »
Probably a lost cause but here goes.

I was cleaning the starter switch on the Stelvio as I was chasing down the infamous starter circuit issue where it blows fuse F2. As I was reassembling the rocker switch the good ole detente ball jumped out an ran away. I have completely cleaned the garage and these tired eyes just cant seem to find it.

Short of buying a new switch assembly, is there anyone out there that could reference a replacement? I see that MGcycle has one for a brake switch but there is now way to really tell if the sizing is correct. Pretty frustrated as I had hoped to make the swampscooter gathering.

Or buy a new one. You will then find the lost one immediately.

I bought several of these hoping to make these planets line up. Headed out to the garage for round two. I guess it was due for a good clean anyway. Would just rather be riding as the season is about done.

Thanks

Often the hardware store has a selection of loose balls. Really.

The ball you ordered is 5mm in diameter. I'll bet that is way too big.
