Show off your dedicated Guzzi garage!
« on: November 17, 2015, 12:56:44 PM »
While I have a monster sized garage, I'd like to build an attached Guzzi Garage onto the side if the existing one to hold the Norge plus goodies. My plan is to have a ride in ride out affair meaning doors at both ends.

So if you want, post pics here of what you have so I can glom ideas since this is the place for ideas extradordinaire. We all know the biggest brains reside here.

I'd like to keep it to a max of 10*12. I have electric and water available because sometimes you just gotta go and the run to the house is more than a hop and skip.

Since you have a big shop available, I'm not sure what you want to do with this space. If it's just to store the bike and gear.. not maintenance.. you don't need much. A bench to sit stuff on and do minor work. Wall mounted cabinets including a full length one for riding gear. Electrical outlets every 4 feet. Lots of light. I assume you'll at least clean and inspect in here.
What do you plan on doing in it?

Sure you don't want to stake out my garage for when I'm not home?

Here's 380 pages of some of the most decadent and beautiful garages you can imagine.  Knock yourself out and start drooling!

Enough entertainment for a full evening of dreaming!!  :)  Page 1 turntable really sets the bar high here considering one of the prior threads on the board here!

Some of the stacking ideas are also really cool....just need a tall enough roof!

Flood the space with lots of T5 or T8 fluorescent light to better admire your Guzzi, ventilation with a through wall exhaust fan, overhead heater, potable water, a sanitary sewer, big floor drain with two compartment sump, 110 and 220 wall plugs, hard plumbed compressed air, epoxy sealed concrete floor with a coved 8" wall base, checker plate 1/16" wall cladding to 4 feet above the base and enamel painted drywall to the ceiling. Install a ceiling suspended 4" deep wide flange beam and a 1/2 ton trolley with chain hoist to lift heavy stuff like a bike or engine and a big table type bike lift. Then fill the walls with tools and the floor with bikes!

It is indeed.  A nice engine turned center panel, and it would do whatever it does, much more......well, better.

I thought you'd never ask...

I just made these functions up

the dials i collected on ebay and from our dump shop, the screens are made from perspex and an old street sign

It was an ugly old wooden cupboard, now a talking point and functional storage
