help me understand page layout on this forum
« on: November 22, 2015, 09:51:07 AM »
today when I open a thread here it's longer than my window, I have to scroll to the right to read the lines then scroll back left to the next line of the paragraph.
It used to be the thread would conform to my window size so no scrolling r&l was needed. anyone know how to fix?
this thread for example,

Someone put a photo in the thread that is wider than your screen. So the text frames are also widened to the width of that huge photo.

Try the 'zoom' feature in your browser (usually a control + or control -) to see if that helps.

He's a Mac guy, Wayne. Mac's gotta be different.  It's probably the button next to control and a + or -..

I installed an add-on to Firefox called "Image Zoom".  When I hold down the right mouse button while over an image, the scroll wheel zooms it.  In your example thread, I can zoom the image smaller and make the thread fit my browser window.  That add-on comes in handy for a lot of other stuff, too.
