roads paved with brick [mostly photographs]
« on: December 19, 2015, 10:21:02 AM »
Town streets of brick are quite common in many areas of the U.S., as are paving stones in Europe.  But, in-between towns, out on the road, it's much less common to come across bricks that haven't been covered in a layer of asphalt years ago.

Especially in Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska, towns with streets paved in brick are pretty common.  Between the towns?  Less so.  I guess I don't have one of Guthrie, but here's Waurika, Oklahoma for you...

Tyler, TX is famous for their brick streets. I get a sore back just looking at them as I sometimes get to see them repairing them. When it rains, look out as they are super slick.
