V50 II shocks- how long can I go?

Hi Someone else looking for Xmas shocks
My V50 II is fairly non standard and is running CBR600 forks and GSXR yokes
This has reduced the offset and made the steering far too heavy.
It's got 295mm Konis at the moment so no ground clearance either.
If I fit longer shocks I can sort both problems.
Standard is 310mm Hagons go up in 10mm increments but will I get driveshaft problems?

My V65TT is same basic bike and has 350mm long shocks... that gives you 40mm to play with
