Quota Tacho - how the input signal look?
« on: December 29, 2015, 04:11:16 PM »
Hi!
I'd like to build a circuit based on some microcontroller that will provide a tachometer signal.
My tacho is connected to the ECU via one signal wire and I'd like to generate the same signal with my microcontroller. The aim is to have a possibility to test the tacho having it on my table in my house - far away from the motorcycle.
I have oscilloscope but my Quota is currently out of order and I can't start it to meassure signal from ECU.
Can anyone give me a clue how the tacho ECU signal looks like? What should be a shape, voltage (I assume it should be a square 0/+12V), frequency?

Thanks!
Michal
