Me, too...but the wife is taking antibiotics, so I didn't have to drive.

I started falling asleep at 8 pm...
I had that happen around 10, watching a movie with my wife, but caffeine fixed that.  After the movie, the wife, son, and daughter, and I played Rummy until midnight, opened a bottle of champagne and played some more.  Then I played some guitar while my daughter played the drums, and I hit the sack around 2.  I haven't been up that late for a long time.

Happy New Year!

I had a second molar pulled yesterday afternoon. Soup for dinner, the local wore off around 7. Took a few Advil and a small rye neat. Not enough relief so I took a hydrocodone at hit the sack at 10:30. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I was up the night before, so I didn't go out and barely made it to 1 am.

Was awakened by another 4.2 tremor at 5:30 am.  Two days in a row, same magnitude, same time, same location.

I planned nothing yesterday but somehow managed to score a pork shank, some wine, caviar and a bottle of Glenmorangie . The rest of the night is a haze and I can't find my underwear... Happy New Year... :thumb:

Yeah, love those mornings when your memory is fuzzy and your clothes are not by your bedside.
That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.

Took a nap.  Went outside and set off a bunch of fireworks with the neighbor.  He made some acetylene bombs and we would toss firecrackers at them to rock the neighborhood.  We used gallon Ziplock bags.  We decided not to use a garbage bag. :-0

Almost 2 years off the sauce for me.  I'd love to say I don't miss it.  But I do.  A nice bourbon or rye whiskey and rosemary syrup in the Winter months, the way wine can make an unbelievably good meal even better, a refreshing Pimms in the Summer.  Yes, I do.  Good on you guys but for fellows like me who seriously cannot stop at just one, never have been able, it's best I just read the stories here and remember.  A nice caveat is I never knew how bad I really felt physically (and mentally) while drinking until I quit.

^ Good for you! Me, too (mostly).

It is hard to stop at one. If one is good, surely two are better!

Motorcycle riding is more important to me than drinking.  The way DUI laws are and the additional costs, I can wait till the end of the day to have a couple.  "A man's got to know his limitations."  (or some such nonsense)

The day is gonna come, no more drinking, hope to hold off till age 70.
