Anyone Familiar With Goldwing Forums? Which Ones To Avoid...?
« on: January 05, 2016, 05:06:54 PM »

If I remember correctly several WildGuzzi members own Goldwings.  Are any of you familiar with the Goldwing forums?  Are there Goldwing forums I should avoid?

I have done a bit of lurking on several of the forums but have not joined any - not sure what I might be getting into including use of my personal information, etc.  Some of the platforms are, er, a bit "scary-feeling" as far as privacy goes.

Thanks for your thoughts!  (I'm considering putting a small Guzzi eagle on the windshield of this scoot.    )

this is the one I settled on. I only look at it occasionally but at least 4 years ago it seemed the best choice.
BUT, it's nothing like this forum. I'd say 5% are somewhat competent at mechanical issues. in fact its almost impossible to believe how hard even the simplest of tasks are for some to comprehend.

You don't have to be a gear head to have a Honda.  :boozing:

My XR650L would beg to differ.  Lucky to have ThumperTalk.com. Hoping the CB1100 is much different and so far it has.

this is the one I settled on.

Same here. I monitor it daily but it's a shell of what it used to be under the previous owners.

I think the percentage is a bit higher but agree, no comparison to this forum. Google Fred Harmon. He only posts occasionally now but has a website and set of DVDs that will answer just about any question you could have about these bikes.

Thanks, gentlemen.  WildGuzzi is a one-of-a-kind forum.  My reaction to lurking on Honda sites has been, "Meh,...."  Just not much there as far as substance.

Thanks again!
