It's curious to me that Guzzi warranteed the "hydro" models of 2003-2004 and until rather recently still would, apparently,
I cannot imagine why the 1400 engines are not hydros. But then, what do I know?
Ralph
Does not the first part answer the second ?
10 years + spending $ fixing them for a problem that never existed before
For 49 years they've been making the easiest engine in existence to check clearance
For 49 years they've not needed adjustment except in case of another fault (search 4v and hydro)
IF IT AIN'T BROKE..............
.
I may or may not check my Luddite 1100 clearances this year, haven't for last 14K miles, why would I, ticks about right ?
But takes 15mins when I do
Pete, Would the roller motor be classified as a pushrod engine, them lil rods are now a fork & roller? Just wondering if it would change the class if someone was to take one to the salt.
Anyone we know ?
With Piaggio backing it'd be fun, not sure any records could be taken but for class, no-one would care about lack of pushrods, beating HD pushrod engines would be enough, cheating or not. Actually prob hard to beat experienced BB pushrod runners, a few out there
