HHmmm...very tempting, just about 2 hours from my Mom's place near Hartford...might just figure out how to swing this!

Can't miss an opportunity for a summer time double brat and some sweet corn in Skansin!

Just a helluva a ride up from Houston...might have to make a 2 stager out of it!

Todd (RIP) came up from Youstan..

In case anyone is on the fence, WMGR is running this rally as a full service event on a year by year basis. As long as Pyro Dan is willing to do it, we will continue. No guarantees once he retires.

Just out of curiosity...what is meant by a "full service event", trying to compare that other official MGNOC rallies I have been to...

I presume it means at least a couple 2-tree Double Brats with da Werks are included, but I don't want to assume, ya hey!

Thanks!

May have to go visit Dave and get one of these T-shirts he had stuffed in his saddle bags:

Tom, you have been to far more Natinonals than I, but some years the WI rally out pulls the Nat by a pretty good number of attendees!  Been to many WI that topped 300, last year was just north of 240 as I recall, and good lord to they have the benefits!

Full service means that included in your registration is :
2 nights camping
2 dinners
2 continental breakfasts
Coffee, soda,  adult beverages from the artesian taps ( many of which are microbrews )
Pin and cup
Awards
Sometimes even a few door prizes.
If conditions are favorable, a golf cart parade
Poker run, ice cream ride, lunch ride.

All this as opposed to a bring your own everything or Not a Rally.
It takes a lot of planning and a good crew of volunteers to make this happen.

Last year, there was something for everyone. Pick your style, you'll be happy.  (within reason, of course, but a crossroads in Wisconsin isn't a reason to build a micro brewery, it's a reason to build four micro breweries.)
And NA beer, root beer, various soft drinks, many times plate after plate of most excellent Wisconsin cheese.. the list goes on.
Miss this rally at your peril.  I've been everywhere, man.. Wisconsin rox.

I start packing tomorrow.  It's been a few years since I've made it and a new "stitch" has been on a hanger for 7 months awaiting it's first ride!   :thumb:

Spray with 409.  Let stand for a cup of coffee.  Hose down.  Take a weed blower and air dry.  Concentrate on controls and any pivot pieces.  OR not.  Check lube levels and ride.

I suggest that people don't forget to bring whatever bug stuff you like to use. I wasn't thinking about it, consequently I was breakfast for the local mosquitos this morning.
You won't want to stand still very long without it.

Oh for the days of just packing the motorcycle and riding to the rally.    When Dorcia goes, she loads the van to where nothing else will go in before she pronounces it ready.

I really love my wife but so glad she has no desire to attend a Guzzi rally. We used to pack up like that just to have a picnic at the beach when we lived at Virginia Beach.

Yup!  been there last month on the week long trip with the van.  Came home and left for two weeks in a Corvette with only two carry-ons and had more then enough with us.

Y'ep on the over packing.  Had to put the wife on a baggage diet when we went on the "Honeymoon".  I limited her to one carry-on.  Had to explain to her about non-revenue travel and not checking in baggage.  Whittled it down to 3 shoes and the ones she was wearing.  No need for a hair dryer etc.  Some basic outfits with interchangeable items.  Letting her know that we would do laundry.  There wouldn't be a need for a month's worth of clothes because I wasn't schlepping the bags through customs, check-in and baggage claims for 9 different airports.

Hey, you guys have it easy! I have the wife, 2 grandkids and 3 other people's camping gear.  Also have to bring a circus tent, 50 lbs of brats, a couple of Hungarian summer sausages and beer kegs, in case there's anything left over.
Not complaining mind you,  this is what life is all about.
We're leaving within the hour.
