The negative prospects of this trend are endless.  What happens when a nut-case or a terrorist figures out the destruction that can be visited upon any target with one of these things.

I heard this morning on NPR that some Chinese company has just developed a manned drone.  Isn't that what we refer to as an airplane?

Just remember, now that all UAS that weigh more than .55 pound are required to be registered with the FAA, get the side number from the quad copter hovering over your property and report it to the FEDS (of course, there is no enforcement mechanism at present and the FAA probably doesn't really cart..). They will surely take appropriate action.

Not if they wear a Borg costume.

On another note, the weight threshold for registering drones will surely help fuel making lighter and lighter drones. So much for that.

  The bald eagles have been spying on you for years.  They attack drones as competitors.

Actually that would work pretty well on my class of drone anyway.  When one of the blades touch something, limb, leaves, hawk leg, it shuts down.
