I'm in Montana, the closest dealer is Empire Powersports in Spokane, but the coolest dealer seems to be Moto International in Seattle, Dave is a great guy to talk to and he lives selling Guzzis......

Empire has a recent new owner......have not dealt with them recently.  But I think they are more Triumph oriented.

Where would you buy?  And get service?  Is the several hours added trip length worth it to deal with Moto International?

Thanks.

FWIW, I purchased my V7-II from Moto International. Dave (sales guy) seems honest and straight. Good experience with the shop so far. Have only heard positive things about them from others. A long way to go for you, but they seem to be a reputable shop.

How far are you from Spokane? Where you buy from doesn't have to be where you get service although that is always nice.

If the dealer in Spokane is good, don't worry if they are focused on Triumphs. Good techs and mechs can work on Guzzis if they have the proper training. If the bike needs trailering or isn't running well and you have to ride it in, the extra mikes past Spokane to Seattle can be a long haul.

Empire is very Guzzi based.  Kevin, the head sales guru, has a Griso, and before that a V7.  Kristen, the owner, is very professional and understands what it takes to run the business. I would not hesitate to recommend them for either sales or service.

I've bought four Guzzis from them and have no complaints

I do appreciate the replies.

To answer a question, I live 2 hours from Spokane.  6-7 hours from Seattle.

I do agree I would not feel right buying from one store and having another store do the service on a new bike.

That is good to hear about Empire, I did deal with them before with the previous owners and sales manager and it was a fine experience.  But nobody I knew there is still there except for maybe the parts manager.

Dave at MI you can tell earns his good rep.

Sorry Bro, just got word that Empire will no longer be a Guzzi dealer.  The bikes are already gone off their website.  Bummer news, and that pretty much forces the issue to buy from MI.

Never good to see a dealership stop selling the Goose, and it seems a bit common recently.

To their credit, they plan on continuing service on all existing customers bikes for the forseeable future.

Too bad about Empire, but ride hwy 20 (not 90) between you and Seattle and it will seem all worth while.  :bike-037:

Moto International is a great place to do business with. Dave is a great guy.
I would buy from them again, when my '08 Norge wears out...
But I live close so it is not a problem.

Bought from them as well and do not live close.  I think buying a Guzzi (if you are already a Guzzi Guy/Gal) is easier than if you are not.  For most of us we know what we want, MI has great prices and even if I had a dealer close to me, I really couldn't count on them staying or at least bank on it so that didn't really figure in my decision.  So the buying experience I feel is a breeze.

Oregon is also part of the Pacific Northwest, which makes Moto Guzzi Portland another alternative.

If you're buying a Norge, the entire USA is your shopping place. A few days spent in the local area, get initial service done and ride home.

If you fly into PDX, they are maybe 3 miles from the airport. Lots of motels close by.

I concur, great service, also fixed other shops screwup.
They finished 2015 in the top 5 for Guzzi sales. They will match most deals as they also get leftovers.

If it was me, I wouldn't be overlooking the relative value of the US dollar vs the Cdn dollar right now. A 40% value difference just might make investigating prices at a Canadian dealer worth the effort.

I bought my 12 Norge at Empire last year, (2 hour drive) and had the first service done there also. Sales manager even gave me a Multistrada to go for a day ride while mine was in for the valve adjust. Put about 350 miles on it that day before returning to pick my Norge up that afternoon.
As said above, Kevin, on of the young salesmen is pretty knowledgeable about Guzzis.  Haven't heard about them dropping the Guzzi line though. If that's the case drive on over to Moto Intl, as Dave is a great guy, and I would have bought from him....just a little farther drive for me. Or over to Portland as I have heard good things about the dealership there too.

Not if it's a major hassle bringing the bike across the border and getting it registered in the states.  Doesn't Moto International have a "Fly and Ride" program where they buy you an one-way ticket?

For most of us we know what we want, MI has great prices.......

Do they?  The prices on their website seem to be MAP or MSRP....I know Empire would not negotiate at all.
