NADA and KBB are almost meaningless in the Guzzi world.

TRUE!  KBB is based on math for their numbers before a sale.  Marketing tool for car salesmen.  NADA based on actual reported sales by member dealers, in-lieu of actual sales calculated like KBB.  So for MG sales, it's a calculated guess all the way.

Boy.....are you guys lucky, I'm not looking for one.  AS stated, easy fix.

And, most likely FREE. (Guzzi content) Clean the solenoid, or glue the magnet back, or maybe add a wire & relay. If I was wanting one, I'd take cash in hand and take it off his hand.

I'm not too greatly far away.  You guys best stop the encouragement before I buy the thing.  Already traded voicemails with the fella so hopefully actually speak with him soon about it. He doesn't seem to list mileage in the ad.

Just go buy it.. *assuming* it doesn't have 200K miles.. I saw he didn't list mileage, either.  Fix it for free and laugh up your sleeve.

One ride on a Daytona started my Guzzi lust. I picked up a '95 1100Spot as soon as it was available, and then an EV11 and then a LeMans....
I'd still love to have a Daytona, or another Spot.

Cheers!

Could be the permanent magnets in the starter dropped off, like one did on mine.  New starter fixed it nicely.

Oops, missed the previous comments about the magnets!    Best of luck to the new owner!

Buy a new magnet housing from John at Euroelectrics.  Best way to fix the starter. :thumb:

Yup.  It was on my watch list too.  Seems like some small bit of validation for what a good, mostly clean, and exceptionally rare and gorgeous Guzzi should bring.

Might this be the slow beginning in the rise of V11 prices? As others have said they aren't making these bikes anymore and clean unmolested examples surely should generate desire. I fully understand the concept that these bikes should indeed be ridden and enjoyed.

I've been noticing V11s gaining a bit of much deserved cred in the used market of late; yet, I dunno if this one bike is any indication per se.  With only 7k on the odo and aside from the scratch, meticulous condition, it is a real gem and rarity.  I think the $6700 is maybe more than I expected it to sell for but not by much.

It's in the ballpark for an Ohlins-equipped V11 LeMans.  The Rosso Corsa and the Nero Corsa.

As has been said before "book value" is not accurate. It took a a little bit of work on my part, to get a a fair settlement on my crashed Tenni.
In the end negotiations worked out. It did however subsequently sell on eBay, in it's damaged condition, for slightly less than my initial settlement offer.
If I hadn't all ready replaced my ride with a GRiSO I would have had a keen interest in this Rosso. It looked like a great specimen.
