V7II - It did it again!
« on: January 24, 2016, 09:41:45 PM »
It put a big smile on my face

A 500+km day ride to Cooma, up the Snowy Mountains Highway to Tumut, down to Gundaigai & Yass, then my favourite back roads home.
The bike performed faultlessly.

Sorry - no pics, was having too much fun to stop.

Cheers

Are your mechanical issues all solved?  I guess I could assume that, since you said it performed faultlessly.

This is great to hear, happy trails!

I think that the oil expulsion issues were down to overfilling. Once the air filter was fouled it became a self fulfilling prophesy.

No oil drama.
This was a bit of a test run.
Checked the filter box & sump 4 times along the way.
All sweet.

So, next time in that area, The Elliot Way? Might need to start an or so earlier. Well worth it.

All the way. And just because there's one or two bends in the road, less travelled. Brings you out near Tabramurra.

Go, man, Go! The weather gurus predicted rain all this week up here, but although mostly overcast, there's only been sprinkles on the visor. Fuel stops? - It's only 117k between Tumbarumba & Adaminaby. Decent food in Tumba, too. You do that road once, you'll be going back - at least every time you need to scrub in a new tyre.

Don't I know it.
Monday - 90% chance of rain all day, didn't go riding, no rain until 7pm
Wednesday - 40% chance of rain in the afternoon, went out riding at 8am & got pissed on

Cheers
