Met Bruce from Moto Studio today w/he picked up a bike from us to customize. I got to check out his fine work first hand as he had one of his 1100 Sports in the van.

I guess we can see where all the Sports have gone. I sure do like their Paul Smart take on the Ducati.

Shouldn't though, their "high Roller" be an 8 valve?   :evil:

The stuff is crazy expensive, all carbon fiber. Dry weight 375 $45,000

He had a carbon tank w/aluminum inlays on it, the area where your knee's would be on a Sporty tank. Just stunning, but difficult to do, will be the only one he does. He did all the molds, etc stuff you have to do to make them, they are produced at a shop here in Athens, GA. Then he finishes them in Miami.

Yeah.  Lots of the spine frame bikes are getting chopped up for "cafe racers".

Kind of a bummer, really, considering how few of the bikes are out there.

 Most likely he has the bodywork or subframes parts you would need for one, also all the electrics. May be a good source.

Those bikes are gorgeous. Some serious talent. I love the exhaust. Looks so simplified and light. I bet they go like hell.

This is the one I made for my wife. Based on a V1000 at the Barber Vintage festival.

They're such nice bikes to do projects on.

I always assume these are most likely post-crash donors. Since the Sport/Daytona tank is not that particularly beautiful without its attendant, inherently Italian designed bodywork, it makes little sense to strip it all away for a "custom".

Yeah, but not the retro kind that are so fashionable right now.

There are several thousands of clapped out Tontis in the world available for caffing. 

Sport 1100s number in the hundreds.  It won't take long to deplete the pool.

Looks even better in person (bike AND wife).  Love the way that Tonti frame stands out.

Thanks man. In case you didn't see its "before" picture, this is how I got it from a guy in Maine selling it to buy knobbies for his Ossa. It needed a new life.
