Well...like they say...one cannot control the weather!!   I'll be Friday afternoon around 12 noon...rain or shine!

I'm leaving San Diego tomorrow at O-dark-thirty. If you see something dark and ominous mid-afternoon it could be a thundercloud or my Scura. Ideally rolling in through Prescott and Jerome.

Now, just how is that NikWax holding up on my rain gear? Hmmm....

I'll take rain gear from First Gear and Road Gear; at least they warranty their stuff. 

Tires need to be in good shape too to prevent/reduce hydroplaning. Unlike previous Cottonwood Rally's, this one will be good practice for the Datil Rally. To be fair, previous Arizona rally's involved snow some years so this, hopefully, will be snow free.

Yes, we are having another N.A.R. "Gathering of Eagles" in 2017.   

The first weekend in May 2017 is Fri, May 5th, Sat. May 6th.  Again, at The View Motel - on the hill in Cottonwood, AZ.  Nice camping available down the street. 

Fri. night all-you-can-eat pizza, and this year, we will have a BBQ place cater our Sat. night dinner at the hotel. 

Flyer coming after the holidays.  Mike Larson came up Sat. morning and we were beaning around and TCOB (Takin' Care of Business!) Stay tuned... :1:

The technology isn't the problem - the real issue is available bandwidth! If I'm down there I can set it up for the Cottonwood event, but the Internet at The View hasn't always been up to par...

 Yeah , that could be a problem , not sure they even have the internet in Cedar Vale 

 Actually my hot spot works just fine there , , maybe we can figure something out . The Arizona NAR can be the satellite Knotanational .

If someone in Cottonwood brings a laptop, I'll have mine with me, so it would be as simple as doing a video Skype call.  Just need the phone number of someone on the other end, and we should be good to go.  I can even bring my portable projector to put the image on the side of the barn or RV/Toy Hauler with a flat surface.  Will be a little hard to ride up with the 100 inch screen though!

Let me tell what would be "WAY COOL" - - since the Kanasas KNOT-A-NATIONALwhich is the same weekend as our Cottonwood N.A.R., if someone there had SKYPE, we could have a fun video conference call...."LIVE!"  :1:
