Ride around Superior

Four of us are leaving Pittsburgh and going north around the lakes this summer - probably late June.  We intend to go up the Bruce Peninsula to Tobormorry then take the ferry across and continue around Superior.  The Apostle Islands sea caves are spectacular around Bayfield, WI if you want to take some time sea kayaking.  We will return through the "Uooper" back to PA.  I will be on my Norge.

Yes awesome trip around Lake Huron and through the Bruce...I did that years back and will be doing it Solo late this summer.

Not yet. I will pick up my bike end of April and I will need at least couple months to learn how to ride/handle the beast before I will venture for a solo ride around lake Superior :) This is my first proper motorcycle so I like to take it easy and slowly but I think end of August beginning of September if work and wife allow

 Well tell us more about the motorcycle you are picking up. Also in August there is a very nice Guzzi rally in your neighborhood.

It is 2016 Audace, ready to be picked up at the dealer but I'm still few dollars short to be able to pay off for bike so pickup will have to wait till end of April :(

I have a few buddy's and a cousin or two that are willing to join me in a ride around Lake Superior this summer.

I am very familiar with the Upper Peninsula portion but have only been on the north shore of Superior twice. I was hoping to get a few ideas/tips on places to stay and sites to visit.
