This listing has been on and off eBay for almost two months now. I almost bought it, emailed back and fourth with the guy, tried to bargain with him and he quickly turned into a real jerk when I didn't feel comfortable with sending him every penny before he'd even take the listing down. Awfully low price, awfully long listing, and his attitude sucked: I don't trust it, just sayin. Not to mention the 0% eBay feedback.

I don't know anything about this seller, but it seems reasonable to me that a seller wouldn't want to take down an ebay post before the sale is finalized.  Also, some folks just don't like to bargain, that's why they post a buy-it-now price instead of a "make offer" note.

The second part of that sentence doesn't seem to make sense. Maybe he meant "OEM" instead of the "non OEM"?

So, he changed the rear end and some other not mentioned parts during the bike's break-in period, and also needed a new rear tire. When I read between the lines here, or try and understand what and why was done, I get that he beat on it during break-in time?

I know that the pipes will turn blue over time.  Still, his far exceed mine @ 7K miles.  Price is optimistic by about $1K IMHO.

Yeah, who knows. Could be deceptive, could just be a poor writer.

No idea why the rear tire was replaced or why those pipes are so blue at supposedly < 1300 miles.

I think he meant the rear fender by "rear end" as it's obviously got some form of tail tidy or chopped rear fender installed.

Could be a decent buy if someone could check it out.

I wouldn't buy it long distance, but I don't know anymore that I'd buy any vehicle long distance without going to check it out in person before final transaction.

Ever wonder how some people get the really good deals on bikes? They buy them instead of picking apart ads and trying to second guess the motives of why people do what they do.

Who cares if he swapped the tire? Maybe he just didn't like the one in there. Maybe he just got a flat? Maybe some punk slashed the tire? Maybe a pitbull had teething pains? The point it that none of those are reasons than make any difference.

If the seller says they are firm on the price, who is to say he's a jerk just because he wouldn't bargain?

I'd rather get a good bike at a decent price than a trashed bike at a great price.

Unless one is going to get emotionally involved with the seller, it is business. Nothing more.

If you lime that bike, get it. No one else here is riding it or paying for it. Then don't broadcast the deal later, all you get is second guesses.

Heck, I'd probably sell my newly acquired 2015 V7 Stone that still has a year of warranty for that price. I'm not married to it. But I have put on over 1000 miles in the past 2 weeks of owning it, so don't really understand the low miles on a 2013 model. Must not have liked it, OR it has been in the shop most of it's life.

There are some for sale in Tucson, a nice red 2012 classic as well.

If you are in KY or anywhere near this, or are even greatly, remotely considering this bike, a much MUCH better bet IMHO would be this bike, or rather, my fomrer 2015 Stone.  Craig would probably give ya a great deal on it that would not eclipse this one but probably get close enough to make this specific ebay Stone a non-issue.  And you get the Isotta shield in the deal and very sweet Givi bags too.  Damn.  Maybe I should try and buy it back

Not for nothing, but we're all just kicking tires and have a conversation speculating on the potential relative merits of the bike.

I don't think any of us here are seriously looking for another V7 right now, so your point is kinda moot.
