I bought a 2014 Mercury Gray California Customs last year and Im getting around to putting saddle bags on. To my dismay looks like MG has discontinued the Mercury Gray saddle bags (hard sided ones)   Which confuses me since there still selling the bike in that color in 2016??  I was wondering what other options you all have gone with for sadle bags? I thought about buying the black hard sided bags and getting them painted, but now ur getting upwards to 1.2-1.3 k.

Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks

Mike

Not trying to be a smart a**, did you verify with a dealer or they just aren't listed on the website.

Just asking.

Called the dealer and said they were discontiued, also I just got off the phone with MGUSA and he just verified it for me. Not sure the reasoning.

There only options are the black and the leather, would the black hard bags look good at all on the gray?

As mentioned in another thread by one of our dealers, the vendor who supplied the bags closed up shop.  Availability of the bags is limited, and is affecting deliveries of 2016s.

I would look to Agostinis, etc. in Europe, if I really wanted those bags.  You may find some in stock.  Shipping will be expensive, but that's life.

Have you checked with AF1racing ?  They carry a pretty big inventory of parts and accessories.

Thanks, Did not know about the supplier going belly up. I did call Af1racing, but they were closed today. Ill try them again tomorrow.

Also if there is a dealer on here that has a set in stock, please message me.

That stinks. I do know there are a set of hard bags covered in leather available. The versatility of lockable hard bags with the look of leather.

Also, post a new thread, or change the title of this one. "Looking for a set of Mercury Gray hard bags for a Cali 1400". That will get you noticed if a dealer on here does have a set.

No need for another thread.  I've just fixed the subject line.
