Tank for converting V65C to Street Racer

Appreciate some help. I have been looking for a cool tank to replace the tank on my V65C. The current tank has a large opening which accommodates the 6 1/4 inch width necessary to fit on the frames dampers. Most Japanese bikes have an opening somewhere between 3-5 inches. I have looked into Ducati, Norton and most others with similar results. I don't want to do a lot of mods if I can help it.
I am starting to think my only option is an SP tank which is not bad. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

The V7 tank fits on the Nevada & Bellagio frames. Have you looked into that?
A mate has "farm-biked" a Nevada - took the frame along to the wreckers & found a little tank from a Honda (I think) ag bike that fitted.

Thanks!
I will look into the V7 tank but I believe I run into the same problem. Appreciate the feedback!

Ckeck it out, I think you might be Ok. The V7 tank has indents on the inside for sliding over the rubber vibration bushes that I just measured roughly - at a bit over 6'. I'll see if I can find some more measurement for you soon - V7, Nevada & Lario maybe to hand. The photos I've found of V65 are all bare along the top rail.
