Guzzi friends,
After a long struggle & much help from Kurt Nordstrom & his son-in-law Justin Fritzius, (I'm an old dog- slow to pickup new tricks), I finally have the the web sites updated for the Va. State rally in June. Please check out "www.vaguzzi.com" and "http://jfritzius.wix.com/vamotoguzzi" for info on the rally, preregistration/tshirt order form, directions, map etc. etc. If you're interested, put it on your calendar, get your preregistration in, & we'll be looking for you.

doesn't translate well, what does salgona mean?

The Italian translation,
Guys I went round & round over this w/numerous Italian speakers the first time I used a similar design 8-10 years ago, and again last year. What i ended up with was the best I was able to decipher. The phrase I am looking for is:
"Eagles from Mandello soar over the Blue Ridge"or
"Mandello Eagles soar over the Blue Ridge" or even "Mandello Eagles soaring over the Blue Ridge"
The tshirt company is here in Lynchburg & the screen can be easily changed. Anyone care to step up with a definitive answer?

May I ask what one does at such a rally? I am curious and would like to possibly attend if I can work around my better half's schedule. I have been looking at your websites and did sign up to the Google forum. I've never really been to one of these state side. Thanks.

Bump. Preregs are starting to trickle in. I talked to Will & he said he still had beds available in the bunk house. (Leave the tent at home!).
Still don't have the definitive answer on proper Italian translation of "Mandello Eagles soar over the Blue Ridge" The tshirt printing outfit is located here in Lynchburg, so I can easily get what's put on the shirts changed anytime before they are actually printed.

Occurred to me after hitting "post" The willville website is "www(dot)willvillebikecamp(dot)com" You can check out the bunkhouse. The "cabin" is already reserved for Alice & I. I'll be hitting the "Big 70" April 4, these old bones don't do so well in a tent as they once did!

George asked me to help out with the translation.

le aquile di Mandello salgona sopra la cresta blue. It should be "le aquile di Mandello salgono sopra la cresta blu". I would translate like this; The Eagles of Mandello climb over the blue crest.

Not sure if it sounds good enough in English but that is what I came up with.

At this point, I'm not sure I can pull it off. Just the same, I'm very interested in making this event. I've been to Willville many times. The last time was in May, on my return from XS East at Lake George. This time, maybe SWMBO will join me.

I've decided to take orders for our Virginia rally tshirts for anyone who might want one but can't make the rally. Please go to the website listed above to see the design/ordering info. Note that they are available in mens/womens/long sleeve/short sleeve and TALLS (men). I will mail them out right after the rally Flat Rate Priority, which costs $13.65 (50 states), so add that to the cost of the shirt(s). If it is a multiple shirt order, I can use a larger FRP padded envelope or box, so only one $13.65 will be necessary.

Guzzi Friends,
Time is streaking by.....it's late April already & the Va rally will be on us before we know it. So far I only have 9 preregs. If you can't go to the West coast for the National i hope you'll consider joining us at Willville this year. If you're planning on coming, please get you prereg in I know "life" has a way of screwing up "the best laid plans" and am flexable about last minute changes, returning payment etc.
It's hard to plan for & be enthusiastic about putting on an event when response is slow.
