Tail light bulbs on a 2-13 Stelvio

I noticed about two weeks ago that some of the bulbs (maybe 2-3 of 5 or so) on one side are not working.  Are these LED's replaceable?  Aren't they supposed to last forever?

I suppose it's not the leds, but their mounting on the pcb that failed.

If they are like the Norge:

Replaceable?

1. With the right tools and skills, probably.
2. Individual LEDs, plug and play, no.
3. By buying a complete unit, definitely.

No, they aren't supposed to last forever or even as long as you might hope. Unfortunately, you can't just pop in a new individual led to replace the failed one, an all or nothing affair is what it is.

Is it a module of bulbs or the whole dang light assembly?   Its two weeks out of warranty.  I don't mind buying a bulb set but, Lord knows what they'd want for a whole assembly when just 3 of 10 LED go out :-)

 Just a point of info , which you probably already know . AF1 is really close by , they have a good rep .

Its the module (if like the Norge, haven't seen the one for Stelvio). Its the pay it forward parts replacement program.

Rear tail light LEDs going out are not uncommon. Even under warranty its unlikely they'd replace it if just a few went out, not a safety issue until a certain amount go bad. Mileage varies according to dealer.

Nothing lost asking for good faith replacement though. What have you got to lose?

As far as I can tell, they are SMD or COB parts. Not replaceable with normal tools.
And the entire module is not going to be cheap, sadly.

LEDs in my taillight have been intermittently going out while riding. Worse in wet weather, but there's not much rhyme or reason to it (happened coming back through the desert last weekend, it's getting worse). I finally bit the bullet, went to AF1, got the part number for the taillight assembly (#897886) and shelled out the $201.22 list price.
