Like many here I prefer a manual for fun in most situations.

That said, I had a turbo CVT AWD that was a blast to drive in manual mode.

And even though I just bought a 6-speed Wrangler, I did so knowing that the current auto is a "better" transmission. But I bought this for fun.

I wouldn't turn my nose up at a DCT.

I figured you had a soft spot for trannies, Wayne, nothing wrong with that.


I used to be gung ho on manual trannies but now in heavy traffic they are a PIA and since we got our `01 Rav4 w/4 spd. auto. over 10 years ago with no tranny issues even while pulling up to 1,500 lbs. hundreds of miles, I've changed my mind.   For towing a RV trailer an auto. is the only way to go too.   Time to try a DCT on a bike.  :grin:

I guess if my father in Law had gone manuals - he'd have needed double clutches for the Invader. :boozing:
