I hope you got it off the trailer.

It's a cream puff.  Barely a scratch on it.  Plenty of extras like bag liners, Corbin Seat.  Tires look like new.  Accessible dipstick.   I rode it, seems like a nice machine, a little bit of rumble on the off throttle.  Reminds of the oil head Beemer.

The PO was known to take really good care.  BTW- the same guy traded in sharp Breva if anyone is interested.  I'd be glad to test ride that one too.

Congrats on a beautiful bike Chris.   :thumb:

Me likee!  Yowza .... that's a gorgeous machine.  IMO, Guzzi got the styling right on the 2v Norge.

Yeah, me too. The red Norges are drop dead gorgeous. I was on mine at a gas station out east one time, and a *very* elegantly dressed (ahem) older lady just stopped in her tracks. She said, "I can't even drive a motorcycle, but if I could, that would be the one."
Nice find, sir. Well done.  :thumb:

At least 5 years if not longer, it's just that not every location has one available.  Sometimes only available as a round trip rental too as they typically belong to the actual Uhaul center and are not passed around from location to location.

Thanks for the kind words! As mentioned, the same Previous Owner also traded in a Breva and it looks just as good...hope someone gives it a good home, too.

It's a beauty! Think about swapping out the black sport mirrors for those stock ones. I found them much better. Zero vibration with the sport mirrors.

Beautiful bike, and I'd really not mind having that trailer, either.

I think the 2v CARC bikes, aside from the dashboard issue, could be classics in the next few years.  I don't mean 'classic' in terms of being worth a bunch of cash.  What I mean is that, when someone throws a leg over a nicely preserved one in 2030, they will be stunned over what visceral machines they were, and how much fun they must have been to ride, 'back in the day.'

So might the rollers.  But after owning a 2v 1200S and a Griso 8vSE, I consider these two generations of CARC to be unique unto themselves.  In either case, damned fine motorcycles!

Congrats. I loved my 07 Norge. I think it's one of the best looking sport-tourers ever made, especially in red.  Look forward to a ride report on how you like it.

Great looking bike.  Don't you just love that U-Haul bike trailer?  Been using them for years and for $20/day, why buy a trailer?

The U-haul trailer was amazing...just 25 bucks for 6 hours...actually I think I went over a bit but they weren't concerned...sorry for the lack of RR but I promised my lovely and talented wife today was Gardening Day and we spent 9 hours getting ready to grow veggies and flowers for the upcoming season...

Congrats Wingy, that's exactly the same as mine. Mines done 92,000 and is sweeter than ever. Shipped from Australia 3 times to Europe, ( currently there for another Euro trip). I like mine cosmetically 'cos I've changed a few things but really could have done nothing and still would have been fantastic. I agree with you that the red ones are nice. If I can offer you any thing of interest just ask. Huzo

BTW, if you're interested there's my original post on Jan 25 showing some changes that you might like to see. Norge Pilot posted them for me 'cos I didn't know how. The post is "wire wheel Norge" and a bit later there was "Huzo's mods" but as I said there's really no need as such to do anything. That Norge looks really tidy, is it that good in the flesh?

Finally the stars aligned and the weather turned gorgeous for the last couple of days so the Norge got ridden, by golly!

The thing is stable, smooth, pulls like a locomotive, cruises at 65 like it's loafing, and is a blast to ride...I'm very happy and anxious to put some serious mileage on the odo....one slight hiccup: after riding approximately 5 or more miles I get a Service Light....shut it down and wait a few the restart...Service Light is gone until 5-6 miles reached then comes one again...pulled the 30 amp fuse to reset but no help there...bike runs just fine so I made an appointment with Brookside MC to pull the codes and advise...I have GuzziDiag but not the cables...

Does anyone coming to Cedar Valley have a 2008 Norge 1200 map for stock exhaust ?  I have some popping on overrun which really doesn't concern me now, but I would like to be current on the map if needed....TIA!

OK Wingy, here's the thing, mine was doing exactly the same thing and I noticed that if the light came on while riding, I could turn the key off, then pull in the clutch, turn the key back on and push the starter. The engine would start immediately and the light would not re appear, until some other time in the future. It turned out to be a rooted oil pressure switch, easy to fit if you take the air box off, don't believe the BS about special spanners and crap to get at it in situ. It's maybe 20 mins. To get the stuff off far enough to remove the offending unit and 30 mins. To replace everything. Actually to be completely honest, I'm not sure whether it was the switch or the tinpot connector on the top of the unit, I fitted a better connector and zip tied the lead to the switch body to take the weight off the connector, that was 40,000 km ago, no further dramas. Huzo.

No worries! Oh BTW, I did replace the switch, ours is the coarse threaded one, (I think !)
