Pictures on a Mac - There could be some Guzzi content
« on: April 07, 2016, 04:02:56 AM »
Am I the only one that has trouble importing pictures into a Mac
The computer is about 10 years old.
I plug my Iphone IV into it, press Trust on the phone and I can see it in the menu tree but do you think it lets me pop the folder open, not a chance.
I plug it into my desktop at work, not a problem.
I tried upgrading the software, that just pissed the computer off and I had to load everything from scratch.
Don't get me started on IPhoto :embarrassed:

the iphone has the newest iOS.. your mac may have older OS and so it has trouble translating. when this happened to me the mac was able to read the pics after plugging the phone in and out a few times.
if it's just a few pics you can email them to yourself.

consider updating your mac to Yosemite OS..

not sure but I believe Iphoto is the only way you can import pics to the mac. Have you opened Iphoto while the phone is plugged in?

My old iBook G4 runs on 10.5.8
I can still download photos, although I usually don't since it's slow.  If your OS is 10.4 or older, it probably won't.  Might be time for an iPad or other cheap tablet... even a smartphone will perform better.

But... as a word processor, nothing beats the tactile feel of the older macs  :thumb:

I import photos from the iphone to my desktop using Image Capture. It's is an application on the apple desktop in the utilities folder under applications. It looks at the iphone as if it was a camera. You should be able to view the images on your phone and select whatever you want to import
