No the Nevada won't feel anything like the Cali, nor will any smallblock, not in motor or chassis.

"Feel like" isn't really the point.  I can't imagine anything that light and short feeling the same!!

Something comfy for her and with appropriate power to allow her to keep up, that's more what I'm thinking.  The DL1000 she can keep up with, but there's something about it that she doesn't like.  I don't really like it that much, either.  Probably a mistake to get.  The VL800 Suzuki is a slug next to the Cali and doesn't handle well enough in the twisties.  Or keep up on the Interstate.  Her VStar 250 is OK, but I have to run at the low end of my performance envelope when she is at the top end of its!  And it's just too small.

$3500 seems to get a nice Nevada, so that's really appealing, too.

It depends on the speeds you run and her comfort level with the RPM.

The Nevada can't accelerate nearly as fast and will feel busier at highway speeds.

I don't really like my V7 at 70+ mph all day,v even though it CAN do it.

I have a Friend who once owned a Guzzi Nevada! It was like a youth's bike. Very small. Small gas tank too.

Why not have her rent one for a weekend?  Simple, relatively cheap and at the end of the weekend she would know whether she likes it or not.
