Of course some jackhole will ask "what kind of a Honda is that?"  :evil:

 Dusty

I must confess, I was once asked that so I quoted (I think it was Wayne Orwig, apologies if it wasn't) "Honda". Really officer, I just couldn't help myself'. :evil:

The seven digit vin on my CX always tweeks everybody's gourd at the dmv and inspection station. It's a mogu to them

We had the PA DMV list the make of many bikes as Motor Lift.
Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

"Model Year" is in the VIN.  Look at your 10th digit.

Y =   2000
1 =   2001

And while you're looking, note Digits 4 through 8 and let us know what they are on your EV

Rocker

My 10th digit is a 1....pretty sure that means '01 manufacture date

Digits 4 thru 8 are KDBKD

Thanks Ray.

So your '01 Cal-EV is "KDBKD"

The 04 EV in the original post is "KDD00"

I'll try to find the model code for my old Bassa, when I get home.

The 30mm diameter handlebars neck to normal 7/8" / 22mm diameter at the control locations so by changing the mounting bits any normal sized bar can be used.  Parts from any late California model with the 7/8"  /  22mm bars can be used.
