Here in Victoria in Aust. we're trialing legalised filtering
when it becomes a parking lot, lane splitting to us is
cutting through moving traffic and is still illegal.

Prior to the change you'd get the occasional dickhead
who'd close you off - since the change I've only had
people moving to open the way when they know your
coming. I live in a Tourist area though - it might be
different for a commuting to work in city traffic situation.

Anyway, for me it's been a great change so far.

Maurie.
Hi Randy, I'm also in Oz and as far as I know filtering is now legal up to 30 KPH. I'm happy to be corrected but thought this was the case. I'll check now.

Fair enough - thought it was still up for final approval.
Don't know that I'd be pulling 30 while filtering, I'm more
like 15 - there are still dickheads and mobiles and and and.

Maurie.

Once it isn't fun, do something else. If I ride into the city I have to either leave early or late, same with the return trip. I sat in stop and go and slow and go on the Norge once, not anymore. Why abuse the bike and myself. I bought a liquid cooled thin bike for that travel when I must.

When it get really warm, the cheapest eco box with a radio and AC is more comfortable than any bike crawling behind cars at exhaust level.

Yep! Last summer, there were many days that I sat on my Norge, with my foot down--on the freeway!!!--and noticed the ambient temperature was over 110 degrees. Once it reached 117 on the asphalt. Welcome to hell!
