Here are my old Monzas 

Around 1988, my V50II and Monza
(By the way, paid �300 and �600 for them, those were the days!)



Around 1994, the Monza. Paid �600 for that one and added used Kawasaki GT 550 air shocks that improved the ride

PS.  Between 1989-1994 moved back to Canada and bought a Rickman BSA Rocket III. Soon realized that I did not enjoy it has much as the Monza and bought another Monza after I moved back to the UK in'94. So much for exotica, that BSA engine was not that powerful, whatever they said..  I had been a courier on the blue Monza and that thing took a beating!

Btw, paid $2000 for the Rickman in 1990 (in Ottawa), sold it in for $5800 in 1999 (in London)   

The moral: be careful what you wish for!

It had a twin cibie fairing by Sprint Manufacturing when i first had it, one of the mounting brackets broke and it all weighed quite a bit so I decided it was time for a change.

Thank you, Dan.. and thanks for more Monza porn. :) This thread has the most Monzas I've ever seen. Think I'll go ride my new old Monza, now that you mention it.

Went out to set up the sag and foot controls on the Monza today. It's the first time I've had the two small blocks sitting side by side, and the size of the engine is striking. Seems like even more than in the pix..

My tech manuals have the Monza coming in wider and longer than the Lario (slight). The rear pic of the Lario is tough to beat as I like the tank shape (much like the LM from that perspective) along with the cylinders showing more prominently. From the side there's no contest as the Monza gets the nod big time.

I feel the same way, dawg. The Monza is definitely longer. As soon as the Kid unloaded it I had him push it unto the van to see if it would fit. Just barely.  The Lario has room to spare. Dunno about the width, the Lario "feels" narrower because of the front of the seat/tank intersection being narrower. Both fit me like a glove, though. I'm eye talian sized.
