I know the Title will make some of you giggle a bit, But I purchased mine last Sept, it was the the First one sold in Canada. I now have over 7000 km on it and still think it is a great bike. Some minor annoyances, The known Hella driving lights problems( I think I have cured the problem)
It ran great until after its first service. The service tech was a little aggressive with the spark plug boots and they needed to be replaced.
Other than that it has been spot on and a dream to ride. Sure the motor is not smooth as silk , but that's why I traded my smooth Concours 1400 in on the Stelvio. This bike is a sensory smorgasbord, and all day comfortable and really comes into its own in the twisties.
I taken the Stelvio on Packed and Loose gravel roads, It impressed me . Loose the Side cases and its a different animal. I have a set of Mitas 07 Dakar rubber sitting in the garage and I will post an update once they have some KMs on them.
Two up riding is a real treat, I actually thing it rides nicer. This bike gobbles up bumps, Dips , Pot holes and holds its line. I use to avoid road imperfections, now I find my self actually aiming for them.
When it comes to fuel range I find that I'm skipping fuel stops my riding buddies have to make. Riding 500 km before I really need to stop for fuel is common. Which brings into the mix the seat. I have to stop to take a leak long before my butt says its time to stop.
I really can't think of any bike I've owned our riden that checks all these boxes for me.
