1997 California Green Paint Color Question
« on: April 29, 2016, 10:15:16 AM »
I am working on fixing up a wrecked 1997 California 1100, am getting down to body work and new paint. It originally had the red 2-toned color scheme, but I am not much of a fan of red motorcycles.

I saw some pics online of a green and black 2-toned, I really like that stock dark green color. Can anyone give me a lead on a color code or a similar color to that dark green? Searched a lot and can't come up with anything. Much appreciated!

I don't know the actual color code, but agree its a handsome color. FWIW, I spotted a late model F150 the other day, and was struck by the similarity to Guzzi Emerald Green. The Ford color is called Green Gem Metallic, and the paint code is W6.

Then again, when I was watching Predator I didn't think two members of its cast would become governors, either. So you never know.

Wow, that looks pretty close. I have been watching out on the roads for dark green colors that I like, but haven't seen that Ford one yet. Will have to look that up. Thanks for the help, and nice bike!

I'd just go to a reputable body shop and see if the they can paint the bike.  They can find the paint code.

By my eyes, neither the truck or the Lotus come close.

It appears the Cal green is the same color used on the Centauro of that era.

Same color combo as a '96 Cali 1100i.  Good looking.
