New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
Careful John, that stuff goes straight to your belt line!!!and effects your GG, could be bad when getting a little air!:-)
I suppose the excess lard used in making Krispy Kreme doughnuts could be utilized as emergency lube or bearing packing but as a Registered Nurse I would strongly advise against using them as nutrition especially given the advanced age and sclerotic arteries of my fellow Guzzistas here...a word to the wise...
two places that I avoid: Starbucks and Krispy Kreme.
Krispy Kreme, Dunkin Donuts all of that is like animal food compared to the wonderful pastries one gets in Europe or at a decent Pastry shop of German or Italian or French origin here in the states, but some folks do like the Apple Fritters or glazed donuts, or even Timbits in Canada. But seriously...a Napoleon vs. a Jelly filled donut...no contest!
Both KK and Starbucks tried to establish themselves in Oz.Both lasted less than two years. There is a very good reason for that.Pete
I couldn't even tell ya where any one of either is located , do we have them in Oklahoma ? Dusty
If there were no Starbucks on Ok, where would all the GS riders go?
Krispy Kreme is still barely a 'thing' even here in the USA. After their initial splash and ensuing implosion about 10 years ago, they've all but disappeared from here in Chicago. And Starbucks is just... burned and bitter. Not good. But at least they fight for social justice. /eyesrolling
Krispy Kreme = 1,003 locationsStarbuck's = 23,768 locationsClearly not as big as Starbuck's, but over 1,000 KK locations is more than "barely a thing".
So how many White Castles are there Mike ? Another somewhat iconic establishment that isn't in Oklahoma . Jay and I stopped at one just outside of Chicago , bought a ten buck bag of those wannabe burgers , and they lasted all the way back to Muskogee Never ever want another of those mostly onion and bread things Dusty
Geeze - with all the KK hate, you'd think this was a BMW forum."Aww - I don't go to KK - the stools there aggravate my lumbago and the menu aggravates my stools....""Even without gout - I stress getting plague out..."It's just a little bitty harmless pastry-like treat. If you smash them down, they are wafer theeen.Todd.
'Twas you who opened this veritable Pandora's box of unending versimilitude , as in , "is this really what passes for a donut these days? " Dusty
This reminds me of a V9 thread! So I'm gonna come out and make a stand for Krispy Kreme donuts too! I love em!It's interesting that the donut has been around for centuries and was exported to the US probably by the Dutch. So you could say that a european buy out would be like bringing the donut home! On the other hand I think the US has taken the donut to a hole(!) new level and I'm sure that the dutch of the 1800s would have been delighted to have had caramel and chocolate toppings! So despite being european, I'm all for protecting KK and for keeping it just like it is!
and Starbucks is finally getting a crack at Italy...Taking bets on how long it will be before they pull out, 1, 2 or 3 years?
ps , of course we employed a wonderfully effective countermeasure by giving you folks McDonalds Dusty
