Thread size for fuel petcock bung? 1975 850T
« on: May 12, 2016, 05:11:35 PM »
Does anyone know the inner thread size on the bung welded to the tank?  I'm missing the petcocks and the fuel bungs are shot

Sounds like it's the same as Loops - M12-1.0.

I just measured my T-3's thread -- it's 16x1. Must be the same for the T, since the tank is the same.

Looking back at the original post, though, I'm not sure what was meant by "inner thread" on the bung. The thread is on the outside of the bung, and the coupling nut of the petcock threads around it. There is no "inner thread," as I would interpret that expression.

Thanks guys, my fuel tank has bungs (850T tank) with inner, not outer threads.  The inner diameter of the bung looks like an M12  inner "female" thread.  There are no outer threads on the bung like other T' tanks. The outside diameter of the fuel bung is M16, but with no outer "male" threads.
Thanks,
Nate
