Picking up my third Norge Fuel tank today (warranty) sure hope this one does the trick.
First one, methylene chloride softened it, 2nd one sent out from MG damaged (considering how they pack them, damage during shipping is nearly impossible) so the third one has just gotten sealed before any gas goes in.
I thought it was the ethanol but was told nope, the methylene Chloride can soften the plastic and gravity causes the tanks to spread out. Probably why expanding tanks go out from the sides instead of the tops going up. Seems the solvents in ethanol gas do the damage, not the ethanol itself. Its the solvents that soften the plastic making it susceptible to flexing. The solvents in ethanol gas are not used in the same amounts or at all in non eth gas, according to those sealing nearly a thousand tanks with nary a return.
In any case, sealed and delivered and hopefully performance will match expectations.
