Grandson first ride with Grandpa
« on: May 15, 2016, 07:53:52 PM »
This is Gunner, my grandson, 5 now, 6 on the 26 of this month, first ride with grandpa.  We had to wait until his real helmet came in.  Now that its here, we have a hard time getting him not to wear it around the house. He is a good little rider, except for the unexpecting leaning to peek around grandpa.  Next time I'm going to see if the harness can be reversed so he can sit in front of me and see.

A sidecar works great for that.  My grandson enjoys it and after a day long event is relaxed an tired enough to fall asleep on the way home.

I have an 82 Honda CB900C with the ten speed transmission that we are putting a hack on.   He can't wait for us to get it done.  Every weekend that he is here he asks if its done yet.

I have three friends with hacks.  One is going to help set it up, and all three will guide me in riding it.  Not looking to just jump in, go, and crash.   :copcar:

Well, Gunner will be hooked for sure! Congrats! When I first saw the photo (on my phone), I thought there was a third person seated in front of you(!), and realized it was the rear window of the pickup truck behind you! Haha - that would be a real family ride!

Nice job Matt!  I had a hack for awhile when Gayle could still go out and I caught on quickly as I am sure you will.   I did not anticipate how much I would enjoy driving one.  It was a blast!   If I feel the need for a 3 wheel setup in the future it will definitely be another sidecar, not a trike or other contraption.

I have a belt with handles that my daughter really likes when she rides with me.  In fact, now she insists that I wear it anytime she rides.
