I took the above advice and verified that my Convert does 4850revs @ 80mph. By my math it should approach the rev limiter and the speed of light at about the same moment, in the northern hemisphere. My math also tells me I'd need all the straight road in Kansas to accelerate to the rev limiter. It will not happen here.

It's not nuttin, but it's not really sumptin, either.

This is the 2-wheeler. I could shift it if I wanted to, but it's a Convert, so it's always in the right gear. If the engine had to go faster to do 80 it would. Shifting only makes it go faster faster for not as fast as not shifting.

I'll submit that last sentence for the NO CONTENT WHATSOEVER competition.

I wanted to, I really did... Well, that's likely an overstatement.

I was about to, but then thought better of it as many do but don't share. We often have that but seldom discuss it if at all though in point of fact, if it ever really does occur, it just didn't.

When there was one here before, I spoke out against without really saying anything in particular and the anger and vitriol of the silence was deafening though that might have merely been an over interpretation of something that never really passed - if the interpretation was anything more than imagination.

In any case, to offer support of that or anything for that matter might be a fool's errand which is to say; a fool's error and/or a fool's erred end, I dunno.

With respect to not wandering off-topic, it is probably best to quit this here rather than offer up opportunity for tangent sniper's to pick up a thread and run with it.
