Menu access 2013 Stelvio
« on: May 24, 2016, 03:26:30 PM »
I am having a hell of a time getting into the upper menus in order to change time or any of the other selections. the last time I accessed it was in the fall to set the clock.  When the time changed I started to reset it but was having trouble to access the menu got side tracked and every time i ride I think I need to change the time. well today I went to do it and after repeated attempts I have not been able to get into the menu al I get are the settings for trip and eat for 1 & 2 and the ATC and thats it. engine is off any ideas?

Got your owner's manual?  One thing I have found on the Norge is you need to hold the selector in or left or right for more than just a moment...

LOL

You have to play with it a while.

Once you learn the trick, it is much easier to do.

The selector works in both directions. Turn off ignition. Wait a few secs and turn ignition on.

Now start the engine. I say because for some reason (very rare) it can hang and the engine start clears it up.

With ungloved hands (for better feel) press and hold the mode selector to the left for at least 3 secs, it should move to another mode.

It's ... very ...  slooowwwww. You need to wait for it to react.

A brief movement left or right will cycle modes within the Menu (eg, max speed, mpg etc).
Hold it left or right longer, and it will switch to menu 2 or the other one (can't remember the name) with the settings etc.

Just give it a second to react.

Found a suggestion on Guzzi Tech to disconnect the battery and leave the key on overnight.  Did it and hooked up the battery this morning and boom I'm in the menus and all is good Thanks for the replies.

Hello,I'm new to this forum, but I've been riding Moto Guzzi exclusively for twenty years,I recently bought a very well  treated 2012 Stelvio NTX.I too had difficulty accessing the menu on the dashboard, but after many tries I was able to get through.and just to make sure ,I tried several times and each time it worked .so here is the procedure that worked for me ; with the joy stick click and hold to the right to  trip 1 then click and hold to the right to trip 2 then click to the right till ATC appears when that ATC appears click one more time very quickly to the right  and the menu should appear.I tried it several times and it worked each time .It must be the last quick click that makes the difference.
