Convertibars are nice but far too price at over $300 just to raise the bars 1". Also, I don't need that much adjustability, just a simple increase in height. The added effect is a slight pull back as well.
I think the answer is the longer tube caps and a brace between the two bars to prevent the possibility of them turning and thus unscrewing the caps. I thought about pinning them which would do the same thing but the connecting brace is easier to make, at least for me.
